# Fargate Profile

> Input variables and outputs for the fargate-profile sub-module.

The `fargate-profile` sub-module manages [EKS Fargate Profiles](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/fargate.html). It is invoked for each entry in the `fargate_profiles` map on the root module.

## Inputs

### General

Determines whether to create Fargate profile or not.

A map of tags to add to all resources.

Region where the resource(s) will be managed. Defaults to the Region set in the provider configuration.

### Fargate Profile

Name of the EKS cluster.

Name of the EKS Fargate Profile.

A list of subnet IDs for the EKS Fargate Profile.

Configuration block(s) for selecting Kubernetes Pods to execute with this Fargate Profile.

**selector object fields**

The Kubernetes namespace for the selector.

Key-value map of Kubernetes labels for the selector.

Create and delete timeout configurations for the Fargate Profile.

**timeouts fields**

Create timeout.

Delete timeout.

### IAM Role

Determines whether an IAM role is created or to use an existing IAM role.

The IP family used to assign Kubernetes pod and service addresses. Valid values are `ipv4` (default) and `ipv6`.

Existing IAM role ARN for the Fargate profile. Required if `create_iam_role` is set to `false`.

Name to use on IAM role created.

Determines whether the IAM role name is used as a prefix.

IAM role path.

Description of the role.

ARN of the policy that is used to set the permissions boundary for the IAM role.

Whether to attach the `AmazonEKS_CNI_Policy`/`AmazonEKS_CNI_IPv6_Policy` IAM policy to the IAM role. WARNING: If set `false` the permissions must be assigned to the `aws-node` DaemonSet pods via another method or nodes will not be able to join the cluster.

Additional policies to be added to the IAM role.

A map of additional tags to add to the IAM role created.

Determines whether an IAM role policy is created or not.

A list of IAM policy statements - used for adding specific IAM permissions as needed.

**statement object fields**

Statement ID.

List of IAM actions.

List of IAM actions to explicitly not allow.

Effect of the statement: `Allow` or `Deny`.

List of ARNs the statement applies to.

List of ARNs the statement explicitly does not apply to.

List of principals the statement applies to.

List of principals the statement explicitly does not apply to.

List of conditions for the statement.

## Outputs

### IAM Role

**iam\_role\_name** `string`

The name of the IAM role.

**iam\_role\_arn** `string`

The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) specifying the IAM role.

**iam\_role\_unique\_id** `string`

Stable and unique string identifying the IAM role.

### Fargate Profile

**fargate\_profile\_arn** `string`

Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the EKS Fargate Profile.

**fargate\_profile\_id** `string`

EKS Cluster name and EKS Fargate Profile name separated by a colon (`:`).

**fargate\_profile\_status** `string`

Status of the EKS Fargate Profile.

**fargate\_profile\_pod\_execution\_role\_arn** `string`

Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the EKS Fargate Profile Pod execution role ARN.
